CHATTER...CHATTER...CHATTER...
Edmund Stewart and Judy Chapman-Hebb live in a house in
Geraldton called Toad Hall!
Judy studied at Geraldton Regional College TAFE for a Certificate
and Advanced Certificate in Art and Design.
Edmund studied at Curtin University of Technology, Bentley
for a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) Dip. Ed. While he was
at Curtin he studied sculpture, painting, ceramics, drawing,
printmaking and photography.
Since 1999 Judy has been working as part of a team with
Edmund Stewart in their business called ‘Red Crow
Design and Fabrication’. Their commissions have included
making sculptures for the Geraldton Museum Geraldton City
Council and the Batavia Coast Marina and many others. If
you visit Geraldton, chances are you will see their work
all around the city and foreshore.
Ed has worked as a teacher in schools and at universities
and he put together a touring exhibition of artists’
work called ‘Port to Port’.
Brine Obelus will tour to Katanning, Pt Hedland and Esperance.
Exhibitions usually tour for 2-3 years so a number of other
venues will be organised as the tour progresses.
ART ON THE MOVE exhibitions are usually moved around the
State by road transport in crates and then installed by
gallery coordinators, however Brine Obelus is different.
It will be moved by the artists from place to place on a
trailer and they will supervise the installation of the
work and the documentation at the gallery.
